Immigrants' List Supports Mark Pera in Illinois 3^rd

 
Immigrants' List supports Mark Pera's effort to unseat incumbent Dan Lipinski in next Tuesday's Democratic Primary.  Mark Pera has consistently vocalized his support for meaningful immigration reform. 

Dan Lipinski voted for the Sensenbrenner enforcement-only immigration bill in the 109th Congress (H.R. 4437).   Last year, Lipinski voted for a bill that denied funding to "sanctuary cities" like Chicago, which is part of his own district (H.AMDT.294 to H.R.2638). 

"Despite being in a blue district, Lipinski has voted with Sensenbrenner and Tancredo on immigration," said Immigrants' List Executive Director Drew Seman. 

Immigrants' List has now raised almost $15,000 to support Pera's campaign. 

"It is time for members of Congress to understand that there are consequences for opposing immigration reform," said Seman.
